Greetings and Welcome to the St. Ignatius Martyr Parish Website!
We are a vibrant Roman Catholic Parish in the Archdiocese of Louisville Kentucky. In a very real way, we represent the Universal Catholic Church in microcosm. We are a beautiful blend of Caucasian-American, African American, African descent from some six African nations, and Asian-Pacific. This is so fitting as our namesake, Saint Ignatius Martyr, was the first to call the community of Christians - the Catholic Church, - Catholic meaning the encompassing of everyone from everywhere into the one Body of Christ. Here we celebrate that rich diversity in our worship, community life, and outreach. Along with many areas to become involved in, such as our St. Vincent de Paul Society, Helping Hands Food Pantry, Homebound ministry, and the Hidden Treasures ministry with our Senior Citizens, our parish is home to Head Start and Early Head Start for low-income families and their pre-school aged children in our Newburg area. Again, in the name of the parish, I welcome you to become more a part of this wonderful faith community. Contact me at any time. Blessings, Deacon Lucio Caruso, Pastoral Administrator |
