Choir

The music repertoire of St. Ignatius Martyr is reflective of the beautiful diversity of our parish family. Our musicians, cantors, and choir work diligently to make a joyful noise unto the Lord and lead the congregation in song. We invite and encourage God’s people to sing, clap their hands, express themselves, and give God the highest praise!
Our music department ministers through various styles of music including traditional, gospel, contemporary, and music influenced by other cultures. Our music is also enhanced by a variety of musical instruments such as piano, organ, bongo drums, tambourine, shakers, and maracas. These instruments help reflect the style of music and pay tribute to their distinct genre.

The St. Ignatius Martyr Choir is an active and dedicated group of SATB (four-part harmony) singers that minister through music at each Mass with cantor/organist.
Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings in the church at 7:00PM (September through May) and Sunday mornings in the church at 9:00 AM (year-round).

If you are interested in joining our choir or would like more information, please contact:
Andrew Thuita, Coordinator of Music- (502) 759-8076.

Please come and rejoice with us… our joy is contagious! As St. Augustine said,
“We are an Easter people and Alleluia is our song.”
